📌 Board Meeting Summary – April 2025 Meeting


Key Topics & Decisions:

1. Financial Updates

  • Budget remains stable; no major deviations.

  • Current tuition and expenses are being monitored closely to ensure year-end goals are met.

  • New lines of credit discussed for double pay periods.

  • New budget iteration furthering our precision on budgeting each school year.

2. Fundraising Strategy Changes

  • Decision made to pivot away from multiple small fundraisers toward larger, high-impact events for school-based funds (not impacting PTF fundraisers)

  • New Goal: Raise more in single campaigns rather than dozens of small efforts.

  • Additional events being considered: benefit auctions, donor dinners, and church partnership drives.

  • Additional income generation discussed, including sponsor programs, community outreach, and others.

  • New webpages and accounts in development to support these additional avenues.

3. Policy & Procedure

  • New language and guidelines agreed upon for the activity fee, fundraising, and family kickback! Next school year will allow for larger fundraising, no more limiting to the activity fee. The activity fee will be constant and non-reimbursable while tuition discounts will be available for the fundraising.

  • Handbook updates are being finalized to better reflect legal requirements and our flexibility to assist families.

  • Board reviewed updates to safety policies and parent conduct expectations.

  • New volunteer onboarding requirements and time tracking discussed.

4. Staffing & Support

  • Need identified for additional part-time or substitute teaching staff, particularly for early grades.

  • Interest in expanding support for extracurriculars, including sports and music.

  • Review of new teacher applicants

  • Discussed the new web pages

5. Community Engagement

  • Ideas were discussed to increase family and church involvement.

  • Possible parent advisory committee or quarterly fellowship events in the works.

  • Review and voting in of new corporate member applications and discussing this further with staff.

  • Discussed the success of having board members at school events.


The board has to meet again on May 12th for a final budget review and discuss possible increases and late corporation applicants.


Corporation meeting is still May 15th.
